What customers say?

“ I have been going to Bings Bao buns whenever I go to the SLO Market. They not only have great Bao but really good vegan and vegetarian options! As well as an array of Asian snacks. It’s fairly inexpensive for ”

“ Bao buns were GREAT! Also loved the tater tots. Friendly service and cool food court area. Quite a few vegan options! Vegan options we tried: mushroom curry bao, tater tots with furikake and sesame noodles ”

- Oki H -

“ Not only was the food incredible but the staff was so kind! They offered suggestions when I wasn’t sure what I wanted. I got the edamame snack and char pork-siu bao. My husband got the “big Glizzy” with dijon mustard on the side. Theres lot of other options as well! Super recommend! ”

“ Update: Came by on a Saturday and got to try out their Bao Buns. Great buns, flavorful, pillowy soft and hot. We got the tri-tip brisket buns. We also tried the squid and the shishito peppers. Everything was great! Original review: Needed a snack and decided to come back to this location as the craving hit. Had the fried chicken in Sweet Ginger Soy, Sichuan Fire and Sweet Orange. Current favorites are the ginger and sichuan but it was at the end of the day. Will be giving the sweet orange another try when it is in the beginning of the day. They came with a bed of rice noodles. Crispy and yet addicting. The first time we were there, we got to try the homemade pickles, they were delicious! This time around we tried their fries with a secret sauce to dip them in. Sauce went really well with the Sweet Orange Chicken as well. The owners are always great and so friendly!! Will definitely keep coming back. And one of these times will get there during the lunch time to get a bao bun before they sell out. :) (Just FYI, the fried chicken goes with the beer at bottlecraft just down the way.) ”

“ O....M....G....I have found the perfect Bao Bun restaurant. I am absolutely in heaven. Unfortunately, it is about 850 miles away from home. If you ever cruise through San Louis Obispo, also known as SLO, this stop is a must. Surrounded by a bunch of food and small businesses in a great marketplace, this is perfection. Make sure you look up their hours as they can be a bit erratic, but wow....just wow. ”

- Diana Backinoff -

“ went in for the Sunday special spicy chicken and waffles portion was definitely enough for two people, a decadent mix of sweet spicy and savory ”

“ This was my first time buying and I have to say that I am happy with it! I guess they cycle through different kinds and today I had the beef bao and garlic chicken bao. I loved the beef bao but the garlic chicken was even better! Definitely recommend both if I'm being honest. Not sure what the sauce was called but went well with these baos though if you want to eat them by themselves you definitely can and it will taste good. My only complaint is that for the price, I wish I got 4 instead of 3 baos. Otherwise, it was overall great! The man taking orders and ringing me up was kind and helped explain to me what I was getting. This place is located in the SLO public market so similar to my last review in this area, the location was nice and busy but not overly crowded. I'd recommend this place! ”

“ Hands down the best in SLO County. Korean fried chicken is perfect. They’ve certainly mastered the bao. Love the new location in the SLO Public Market! ”
